The iconic Air Jordan III has been released in the White Cement colorway a few times, beginning with the OG release in 1988.
Here we have the 2003 release – usually discernible from later releases by the spacing and color on the elephant print and the overall shape of the shoe. These come in a Jordan “face” box and include white laces and a retro card.
White cements are a fun shoe to add into an outfit. Go with a classic white tee and jeans outfit or feel free to mix in some reds or greys. The Air Jordan 3 White Cement uses these colors minimally, so adding more into your outfit will not look too over-matchy. Today for example I went with a black tee layered over a white tee and some medium wash denim.
If you can’t get a pair of 2003s or older, I definitely recommend picking up at least one retro of the AJ3 white cement. The colorway is a must for Air Jordan III fans.
Materials
The shoe is mostly leather with the suede/nubuck-type material on the elephant print. The older versions of the Air Jordan III White Cement definitely have a quality to the materials that has not been matched since. You can see the grain and feel how nice the leather is compared to newer retros. The elephant print also seems cut more precisely and has a nice buttery texture.
Fit
The more flexible/better quality leather means these feel comfortable and plush at true to size. This is almost unlike any newer pair of Air Jordan 3s I’ve worn! Perhaps it’s due to age, but these fit like a nice padded glove around my foot.
